Senior Communications Systems Engineer, Resource Planning in Public Sector (All genders)

Your mission

To strengthen our technical planning team, we are seeking an experienced Senior Communications Systems Engineer to join our growing organization.

In this role, you will design and deliver complex communications and mission-critical systems for mobile and fixed operational environments, including command vehicles, emergency response units, and specialized platforms for public safety agencies and industrial clients. You will combine technical system design with hands-on integration work to create reliable, customer-focused solutions in demanding operational environments.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of system concepts for public safety vehicles, command units, and mobile communications platforms
  • Manage technical aspects of projects from initial concept and detailed design through installation, commissioning, and final acceptance
  • Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to identify requirements and develop tailored technical solutions
  • Support project estimating, material planning, and technical cost assessments
  • Develop detailed system designs, including system architectures, block diagrams, network layouts, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Design and integrate communications, networking, radio, IT, sensor, and security systems for vehicle and operational environments
  • Support system installation activities and take responsibility for configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure all subsystems are fully integrated and operate reliably within the overall solution
  • Deliver customer training and provide technical expertise throughout project execution

Your profile

  • Ideally, you have technical training, a college degree, or a comparable qualification in the fields of electrical engineering, telecommunications, information technology, communications technology, systems integration, or automotive engineering
  • You have several years of experience in the planning or implementation of complex technical systems
  • In addition to your technical expertise, you impress us with your sense of responsibility, reliability, and team spirit
  • You have the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
  • A solution-oriented approach is important to you
  • Thanks to your strong strategic and conceptual skills, stressful situations do not throw you off balance
  • You are flexible with your schedule and willing to work outside normal business hours from time to time
  • You have extensive experience with communications, radio, IT, networking, or security technology, ideally in the context of law enforcement and emergency services (BOS), government agencies, control centers, emergency vehicles, or security-related infrastructure. Knowledge of RF is desirable
  • You have strong CAD skills and are proficient in standard MS Office applications
  • You have excellent German and English language skills and can confidently discuss technical matters with customers, partners, and internal project teams
  • You are willing to travel occasionally and work on exciting projects at various locations
  • A clean criminal record (proof required)
